5 Symptoms for Lack of Self-Confidence

Think of people who have the same level of intelligence, the same living conditions, and the same determination to succeed. Almost all of these conditions get equal, but success levels get different. Is it possible? Yes, it is possible and even very common!  Here, our main level of self-confidence or the lack of self-confidence is the main factor that determines success. 

Lack of self-confidence can be seen as a psychological problem. There are symptoms such as closure to the outside world, fear of socializing and failing. 5 symptoms for lack of self-confidence are as follows. 

I Am Worthless, I Am Bad, I Am Not Good

A person with a lack of self-confidence criticizes himself or his abilities very cruelly. These people think that they’re unpopular.  Men in fear of worthlessness crave to hear good things about themselves. Maybe this is one of the reasons why they like to be complimented and praised all the time. People who have problems with self-confidence are more difficult to communicate and express themselves with other people around them.

Fear of Failure

A person with a lack of self-confidence experiences much more frustration when he/she fails. Even a failure is a serious obstacle to this person being able to step back. Fear of failure, if any, is further triggered. Self-esteem creates obstacles for the person to progress in life. 

Fear of Rejection

People with a lack of self-confidence prefer to be silent or talk less when they are with other people because they are afraid to speak silly or think that they are boring.  For example; because of the fear of being rejected, men are particularly shy towards women, anxious and timid about approaching them. This is likely to be seen in the women’s reactions to the opposite sex.

Lack of Self-Confidence: Tendency to Feel Guilty or Blame Around

Some people try to impose their weaknesses, failures on other people in order to get rid of the responsibility and pain of their failures or inadequacies. They always blame others for their own mistakes. To close the guilt, they feel, they constantly try to find the guilty, flawed aspects of those around them and do not refrain from making heavy criticism.

Be More Susceptible to Negative Thinking

When a person is more inclined to think negatively, he/she evaluates the consequences of his / her experience worse than they are. The habit of pessimism and negative thinking deteriorates one’s self-confidence over time. The person in a negative mood, instead of thinking logically about the situation, focuses only on the negative part and devours himself or even his environment with negative thoughts and words.
